Genlock
Genlock (Generator Lock) is a video synchronization technology that allows the Amiga to overlay its graphics onto external video signals, matching their timing exactly. This capability made the Amiga popular in broadcast television and video production, particularly when combined with the Video Toaster hardware. Commodore produced the A2300 Genlock for the A2000, while third-party solutions enabled video mixing, chroma keying, and titling for NTSC and PAL standards.
