ILBM
ILBM (Interleaved Bitmap) is a raster image file format that constitutes the image-specific variant of the IFF (Interchange File Format) standard developed by Electronic Arts and Commodore for the Amiga platform. It stores graphics in planar format, organizing pixel data into separate bitplanes that align with the Amiga's custom chipset architecture, allowing efficient storage and manipulation of images with 1 to 8 bitplanes (2 to 256 colors). The format includes standardized chunks such as CMAP for color palette information and was widely adopted as the native format for Amiga graphics applications like Deluxe Paint, making it the de facto standard for Amiga image interchange.
