OCS
The Original Chip Set (OCS) was the first generation of custom chips powering the original Amiga models including the A1000, A500, and A2000. It comprised three core chips: Agnus handling DMA and blitter operations, Denise generating video output with support for up to 4096 colors in HAM mode, and Paula providing four-channel stereo audio and floppy disk control. OCS established the Amiga's reputation for advanced graphics and sound capabilities that significantly outperformed contemporary competitors.
