Zorro III

Zorro III is the 32-bit expansion bus introduced with the Amiga 3000 in 1990, supporting burst mode transfers and a full 32-bit address space theoretically capable of accessing up to 4 GB of memory. It provides significantly higher bandwidth than Zorro II through asynchronous bus mastering capabilities and 32-bit data paths, making it ideal for high-performance graphics cards, SCSI controllers, and video digitizers. Zorro III slots are found in Amiga 3000, 4000, and 4000T systems, maintaining backward compatibility with Zorro II cards while operating at the same 7-8 MHz clock speed but with enhanced throughput.
