Blitz Basic 2

Blitz Basic 2 by Acid Software (Mark Sibly, New Zealand) was the most powerful BASIC compiler for the Amiga. Unlike AMOS (interpreter), Blitz compiled directly to machine code producing near-assembly-speed programs. Features: full access to Amiga OS, inline assembler, structures/types, pointers, fast blitting, AGA support. Many commercial games were created in Blitz Basic, including Skidmarks, Super Stardust and Team17 titles. Blitz Basic was later developed into BlitzMax (PC).
