About Me
"Once Amiga, always Amiga - a love story spanning three decades"
My Computer Biography
Born in 1975 - into an era when computers were still room-filling machines and no one imagined this technology would soon revolutionize our lives.
The First 16 Bits - The Amiga Ignites the Passion
1985 - The Magic Begins
At age 10, I experienced the moment that changed everything: My first encounter with the Commodore Amiga.
- Cinema-quality graphics - 4096 colours simultaneously!
- 4-channel stereo sound - Music that lived
- True multitasking - Multiple programs in parallel
- Workbench - A GUI ahead of its time
1985-1990 - The Golden Years
Five intense years full of discoveries, programming experiments and boundless creativity.
- Demo Scene - Fairlight, Kefrens, Future Crew
- Legendary Games - Turrican, Monkey Island, Lemmings
- DPaint & Deluxe Music - Creativity without limits
1990-2020 - The PC Era
Like many Amiga fans, reality caught up with me. Professional life demanded PC compatibility, and with a heavy heart I switched to Windows. But deep in my heart remained an Amiga-shaped void.
2020 - Retirement and the Great Rediscovery
When I entered retirement, I finally had time to explore old passions. The community had worked wonders: Turbo cards, FPGA boards, PiStorm, WiFi modules - the Amiga lives in the 21st century!
The Decision: Preservation as a Mission
These fantastic machines must not be lost! Every working Amiga is a piece of living computer history.
